My Lily has grown from a size 4T to a size 6x over the last month or so. She is very attached to her clothes and now she doesn't fit into any of them anymore. At first I tried the direct and honest approach. I told her that she grew and that her clothes no longer fit her and she needed to wear her new clothes. She threw a two day long fit. Now I sneak the too small clothes out when she isn't looking. She thinks they are in the wash...
I Think I May Have A Screw Loose

I saw my podiatrist yesterday. One part of my foot is still hurting (it's

The "it's in the wash" story works for me too. But I am lucky, Jake only gets upset if he wants to wear his Thomas the Train shirt and "it's in the wash." He could care less about the other clothes!
I use the wash as an excuse too. But my kids have more clothes than Mr. Schmitty and I combined (from hand-me downs) and don't really have a problem finding something else they like.
Ah, facing life's reality. I can sorta relate with Lily now, as I've been growing too, albeit out not up%~{
