Do you ever get that voice in the back of your thoughts telling you that you are dumb, fat, ugly, stupid and no one likes you? Mine has been really loud this week. I can usually get rid of it with some sort of project or accomplishment, some sunshine or laughter. Mine keep lingering lately. I guess that means I should get up off the couch and go accomplish something.

I find it fascinating that people who I would think would never feel that way, do. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. But hey, at least you have 7 or 8 people leaving comments on your blog. I have a whopping 0. HAHA :D Obviously people like you.

That voice's specialty is house calls.

Don't listen to him. :-)

Last night I watched several taped Oprah shows and bawled. Then I heard something that registered in my heart, "Children learn what they live," not what you tell them or pretend they see. Both my children are adults. I lectured them non-stop almost their whole life, while I thought I was "dumb, fat, ugly, stupid and no one likes you?" I recognize in them what they learned from me and it wasn't the stuff I lectured them about, but the things that I lived. I so wish someone had blogged me back then and told me that the most important thing to teach your children is to love yourself and you can't teach them what you don't know how to do for yourself.

Course there was no such thing as the internet back then.

Take steps to fall in love with yourself.

PS - I tried to leave a comment on lorelei's blog and it is much too complicated.

Sari - Ha, house calls - so funny. I am having a great birthday, really great.

Dixie - Thanks, I am having a great birthday. I really don't know what got into me, maybe PMS or something. I feel better now.

Luckyzmom - Thanks for the words of wisdom, I will try.
