New Pants

The weather here has been on the chilly side this past week. We have had to unpack our long pants. Turns out that Lily grew quite a bit in the 7 months we have been here. Like about a foot. Her pants are up to her knees. I hadn't noticed. Wish we could wear shorts all year long, save money.

Can you believe it's gotten so cold?!

Isn't it amazing how much they grow? Ten wears shorts all year round...of course it never really gets that cold here in Southern California.

My DS doesn't agree to start wearing pants until Spring comes around. Then he won't put the long pants away until Fall comes. He is opposed to change.

Katya, I was shocked when I woke up and it was in the 40's.

Lynn, I was hoping it would be the same here, never too cold for shorts.

Lorelei, too funny. My little brother did not wear long pants at all during his childhood. We lived in California though.

I thought you could wear shorts a lot long in Mississippi. I love shorts too and hate cold weather. I'm going to miss Alabama's warmer winters.

Five wore his old Pikachu costume to school on Friday for the Kindergarten Halloween Carnival.

He's worn it for the last three years, and the bottom of the legs were literally about 2 or 3 inches below his knees. It was pretty funny.

On another note, yesterday it was 97' here! 8-)

It is amazing how quickly they grow in the space of a month or two. James did that about two years ago and it blew me away when I went to put a pair jeans on.

Wow. Seven months already? It's crazy how time flies.

And also? I'm glad I don't have to worry about the outgrowing thing anymore. Back in the day, Scott used to grow six inches a week, it seemed. MADDENING! Now, he appears to have settled nicely at 6'4".
